Ed and Oucho's Excellent Inventions is a children's TV show, presented by Ed Petrie and his cactus companion, Oucho (performed by Warrick Brownlow-Pike). Children send in designs of inventions, and each week one of them gets created. Though educational in a way, it is slightly centred towards comedy. It was first shown at 4:30 pm on Mondays on the CBBC Channel.
The inventions seen in the show are created by Artem Ltd, a company that creates props and special effects for TV and film productions.
The first series of the show was filmed in 2008 and aired in January 2009 . A second installment of the show aired on 2 January 2010, with the show being filmed in August 2009.
The second series of the show can be seen every Saturday at 10 am on BBC 2 and later repeated on the CBBC channel.

Series one was filmed in late 2008 and aired from 5 January 2009. The series has thirteen half-hour episodes.
Filming for the second series began in August 2009, It was broadcasted on 2 January 2010 10 am on BBC 2.
Despite its popularity a series three seems very unlikely to be commisioned as Ed Petrie has now left CBBC presentation and now works on other shows without Oucho. Oucho himself does not appear on CBBC anymore apart from rare appearances during sketches.
